Back to reality

Well, I'm back from the beach. I swear I could live there. I love the sound of the waves and the smell of the ocean. We had a great time. When you're at the beach, it's like a whole different world and a whole new set of rules. Well,for my family at least it was. There were no set bedtimes, and we were out later at night walking the boardwalk. At home I would never have my kids out at 10:30 and night going for a walk. Let alone going for ice cream or playing at a park. Out hotel was located right in the middle of the boardwalk and it was awesome. We had a 2 room suite with a balcony. I loved sitting on the balcony at night and listening to the ocean. I also liked watching all of the people who were also out at night. Since the boardwlk is lit up, you can see all sorts of things LOL. It was just a peaceful calm. Every morning, I would be wide awak and 5:30 and go sit on the balcony, drinkmy coffee and watch the sunrise. I loved that.

There were even a few morning, I would go out while everyone was asleep and just take long walks. It was so peacful in the mornings just being by myself and exploring. Sometimes my 9 yr old daughter would get up and go with me. It was really nice.

The 2 little ones LOVED the beach. The 2 yr old was constantly covered in sandlike a sand monster. He would just lay down and roll around in it. My 14 year old took a friend with us and they rode their bikes around most of the time. Right across fron our hotel there was an ice crean shop and an arcade. Not to mention the endless shops you could go to. Also almost every night there was some sort of concert to go to. I can't wait until next year to go back again. I would recommend Virginia Beach to anyone. It was clean, not very crowded, and there was a TON of stuff to do.

We went to see a couple of lighthouses while we were there, went to Naticus, and on a Sunset Dolphin watching cruise. There's so much to see and do.

Now I'm back home and I'm like BLAH LOL. I wanna go back to my carefree week of fun and no responsibility. Reality sucks sometimes huh?? LOL
