 I need to tell my good friend Olenka what a kick ass job she did at the grocery store with her coupons. Totally amazing. She ended up leaving the store and only spent like 40 cents. She rocks. In all my short time of couponing.. I have never spent so little at the grocery store. I wish I would have taken a picture of my groceries tonight because it does not look like $84 worth of stuff.

My experience was not pleasant at all, especially when I paid my *change*. But it was not a scheduled trip. I just got out from the schools open house and decided to pick up some lunch meat for tomorrow. I decided to pick up a couple money makers and then got my groceries. I handed my coupons to the cashier and received a huff from her. I already had a feeling pulling into her station that this was not going to go over nicely.. But I still continued and just hoped the experience would be as pleasant as the previous trips. Off the bat she spouted you cant use this coupon.. ooh no this one goes over the amount of the priced item so you cant use that... I simply said Paul your store manager allowed me to use that coupon just the other day and I called here to make sure I could use the competitor coupon.. I will be honest I did get an attitude because It just annoyed me at how unhappy this cashier was to have to deal with coupons.. I told her to call over the manager... the store manager was not there so I got someone else.. LONG Story short.. Attitudes galore!!! I never get an attitude so I really need to make sure I do not if this happens next time and just leave the store with my coupons and go to another one.

Now according to my calculations, I should have paid close to $10 so I have no idea how the amount went so low. But I do need to remember to count the exact amount of coupons and make sure that I buy the same amount of groceries and possibly a couple over from this point on. Just to keep the register and an unhappy cashier go crazy because she cant ring me up quickly. OOH and there were a couple of people in the back of me who huffed even louder and left the lane. The other day that same thing happened and I apologized to the store manager and he responded with no need for an apology I turned my light off for a reason 80).

Ice cream Truck

 I'm sure most of you have an ice cream truck that comes through your neighbor hood. I swear ours is a stalker LOL. Not in a bad way though. She makes me insane, more so than usual. Every night she comes creeping down the road with her music extra super loud. If I hear her before the kids do then I try to turn the tv up really loud or get them in another part of the house. This usually doesn't work and they go running out the door. What also makes it bad is she ALWAYS will just stop right in front of the house. I'm like are you kidding me? I have 4 kids and this crap can get expensive since she comes every day of the week. Her loud music playing and she's on the microphone saying HELLO, HELLO.

This goes on from May-September. She's stressing me LOL. I at one point told her I didn't like her very much. So did my next door neighbor because her little one has to have ice cream every night as well. If I hear her coming, I also try to throw the kids in my truck really fast and go somewhere. They don't need treats every night but if I don't get them one the 3 & 4 yr old have super meltdowns. It doesn't matter if I have stuff in the freezer it's just not the same.

Last night my son came running down the stairs yelling, "there she is, there she is." Well, I looked out the window and she was already past the house so I sat back down. Next thing I know he's saying, "she's coming back, shes backing up." I was like no way, she is NOT backing down the road!! Yep, there she was in front of my house. I was like, SERIOUSLY!!! I can not believe this. So the kids are running out the door and I'm like ,"WAIT!!" I'm digging in my purse for money and of course all I have is a 20. Nice, sending kids to get icecream with 20. Unlimited possibiliteis there.  Just 3 kids were at home so I thought ok, the 9 yr old is pretty responsible, she won't get tons of stuff. HA!!! That was funny.

Can't wait to see what today brings or when the truck will be down the road. She comes anywhere between 5-9. Yes 9. If it's dark, she'll spotlight the house. Anyone else have an ice cream lady like this LOL???

It's busy time around here and it gets crazy crowded as some many people come in for this event.I can't wait to take the kids to see the hot air balloons tonight. They're so pretty when their all lit up.

So super excited. I was able to get tickets yesterday for the Food Networks Fabulous Food Show in Cleveland for November 13th. YAY!!! I love the Food Network and this food show is amazing. I went last year and loved it. I also get to see a show with Guy Fieri. You know, Triple D, Diners, Drive Inns and Dives. There's so much to do and see. So many vendors with all these yummy food samples and wine tasting as well. All day admission into the show exhibits.

One celebrity chef performance (per day) in the Main Kitchen Theatre with access to additional celebrity chef shows based on availability. Guy is who I chose. There are like 3 other celebrity chefs as well.

Access to: The Market Place, Culinary Celebration Theatre, Celebrity Autograph Pavilion, Taste of the Neighborhood, Sweet Street, Grand Tasting Pavilion, Wine Cellar, Bubble Lounge, Shop & Drop, and Fabulous Bistro.

Embracing Your Second Calling

Embracing Your Second Calling By Dale Hanson Bourke

This is a Christian book about embarking on the second part of your life as a woman. There are a lot of scriptures and references to other books in it. Also it's full of little Acts and Reflections for the reader to do.


The book was well written and it was an easy read. It just wasn't for me though. Maybe it's because I'm only in my mid 30's. Normally I can read a book of that size in 2 hours. This took me a few days just because I couldn't get into it. Like I said, it was well written, just not for me. I'm passing it along to my mother whom I know will thoroughly enjoy it and appreciate it more.


The main thing I got out of the book was to not hold onto your past. You don't want to spend the rest of your life as a bitter person. The was a lot of good reflection topics and scriptures to ponder. She spoke a lot about Naomi and reference to her a lot.



The book was inspiring and I would recommend it to woman who are in their midlife.

It's July

WOW!!!! Can't believe it's July already!!! Sumner is flying by like crazy!! Seems like there is so much I want to do this summer but I'm running out of time. I've just been so busy but yet it seems as if I've gotten nothing accomplished. This month I'm going to work REALLY HARD on budgeting and beingmore frugal. I'm sure this will last about a week, but hey, I'm going to give it a shot. I'm going to make a page called budgeting or something so keep checking it out to see how my "adventures" are going, or not LOL.

Any exciting plans for the 4th? My baby will be 3 on the 3rd. Can't believe it. My sweet, devilish lil guy is growing up. I have 5 kids but it's sad when you realize that your last one is growing up. It's exciting in a way yet it's bittersweet. They become their own person, more independant. Having children is such a blessing and all of mine are unique in their own way.

Well, I'm off to TRY to get my budgeting going and my coupon hunting so wish me luck.

Mine totally irritates me somedays. I swear even his breathing annoys me. I just want to throw my shoe at his face. Sounds like a wonderful relationship huh? LOL Actually it's great. ONCE!!! I clean, cook, do laundry, take care of 4 kids, etc, etc, 7 days a week. Do you seriously think I sit here and do nothing?? Yeah somedays it looks like it because I have no help but I was just like WOW!!! He is so clueless. Alrighty, that is my rambling for today. Carry on LOL

Spaghetti Tacos

Yeah, that's what I thought also when the words came out of my 9 year olds mouth. I was like seriously? You have got to be kidding me!!! She's been on me for a while to make these but I just couldn't fathom the thought. They made them on one of her favorite shows I-Carly a long time ago and at least once a week Cierra will ask for them. Well, tonight I caved. I had some leftover spaghetti and I'm trying to be more frugal and not toss food like I normally do, so I thought why not.  I just baked the hard taco shells for 5 minutes, heated up the spaghetti and tossed it in the shells.

In all honesty it was pretty good. I was quite shocked. All 3 kids loved them and even the 2 yr old wanted seconds. It's not something I'm going to add to my regular menu but it is something we will have again.

Yes, believe it or not, I DO realize I have a ton of them on my page. I feel like a hoarder as I keep adding more and more LOL. I was going to clean out my page but I have no idea where to start. Most of the ones I add are ones that I truly like and want to share. The affilate ones are also only ones that I truly like and think are great products. So, please excuse the clutter because I'm sure I'll be finding more favs to add. If you have time, take a look around. I'm sure I have something for everyone. One thing is for sure, you can spend a good bit of time here looking at all that I have to offer LOL.

Back to reality

Well, I'm back from the beach. I swear I could live there. I love the sound of the waves and the smell of the ocean. We had a great time. When you're at the beach, it's like a whole different world and a whole new set of rules. Well,for my family at least it was. There were no set bedtimes, and we were out later at night walking the boardwalk. At home I would never have my kids out at 10:30 and night going for a walk. Let alone going for ice cream or playing at a park. Out hotel was located right in the middle of the boardwalk and it was awesome. We had a 2 room suite with a balcony. I loved sitting on the balcony at night and listening to the ocean. I also liked watching all of the people who were also out at night. Since the boardwlk is lit up, you can see all sorts of things LOL. It was just a peaceful calm. Every morning, I would be wide awak and 5:30 and go sit on the balcony, drinkmy coffee and watch the sunrise. I loved that.

There were even a few morning, I would go out while everyone was asleep and just take long walks. It was so peacful in the mornings just being by myself and exploring. Sometimes my 9 yr old daughter would get up and go with me. It was really nice.

The 2 little ones LOVED the beach. The 2 yr old was constantly covered in sandlike a sand monster. He would just lay down and roll around in it. My 14 year old took a friend with us and they rode their bikes around most of the time. Right across fron our hotel there was an ice crean shop and an arcade. Not to mention the endless shops you could go to. Also almost every night there was some sort of concert to go to. I can't wait until next year to go back again. I would recommend Virginia Beach to anyone. It was clean, not very crowded, and there was a TON of stuff to do.

We went to see a couple of lighthouses while we were there, went to Naticus, and on a Sunset Dolphin watching cruise. There's so much to see and do.

Now I'm back home and I'm like BLAH LOL. I wanna go back to my carefree week of fun and no responsibility. Reality sucks sometimes huh?? LOL

It's Raining, Its Pouring

It has been storming off and on most of the day. I love thunderstorms. There's just something about them and puts me at ease. I love feeling the cool breeze and watching the sky light up. It's awesome to me. Don't have a lot to say really. I'm trying to get the family ready for vacation in a couple of days. A 10 hr drive with 5 kids should be good times. NOT!!!!! Hopefully they'll be occupied for most of the trip with their MP3's and DVD players. Keep your fingers crossed. When I get back I'm going to start addingmore things to the blog. I need to get focused on this because I really enjoy it. It's just hard to do sometimes with a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old glued to me. I don't don't how some of you do it. There are some great Blogs out there and I admire each and everyone of you for your hardwork and dedication. Kuddos.

Happy Tuesday

So, how was everyones weekend? Mine was pretty good, no complaints. We stayed pretty busy so now I need a chance to relax. Yeah, like that's giong to happen. The kids getout of school this week and I still need to get stuff together for our vacation to the beach. Lets hope I'm able to get some R&R at the beach. Doubtful though LOL. I will be computer free for a week though so try not to miss me to much :)

I have no playgroups scheduled for the kids this week so that will give me some free time to get some stuff together. I have ordered so much stuff and it should all be arriving this week. I got a beach cabanna thing, some wet wipe looking things with sunblock in them and those safety wristbands from Mabels Labels. My husband will be like WTH when he sees the UPS man rolling up here so much but lets hope hes not here when he comes LOL. My kids love him though so I'll just tell him to shut up LOL.

You have got to check this site out. It is wonderful. Last night I ordered my kids some 411 Safety Wristbands. There is 30 in a pack. You get to choose from several different designs. These are for god forbid should your child get lost. It has a place on it for contact information. I wanted to split it up and do 15 each of my littles ones names but they don't split so I just added our last name and my husband and myselfs cell phone numbers. We're going on vacation soon so for me these were a must have. Especially since my husband "lost" our 4 year old in the arcade at the waterpark last week. UGH!!!! Thank goodness Carter didn't know he was lost and it was only for a few minutes.

Chocolate Pizza?????

Yeah I know, that was my first reaction also. Let me tell you a quick story though. Last year my friend and I went to Cleveland for the Food Networks Fabulous Food show (that's another story though LOL). While we were there grazing around all of the booths for free samples we came across one toward the end of our route that stopped me dead in my tracks. It was for Gourmet Chocolate Pizza. I was blown away. All I knew was that I had to have a couple of samples. It was amazing. I found out it was also literally 2 minutes away from my house. How cool was that? Well, I got home and life goes on and I forgot all about my chocolate goodies. I kept driving past their sign every single day but just didn't really have the time to stop for one reason or the other.

Well yesterday was my lucky day. My daughters 3rd grade teacher was having a birthday and my daughter needed a gift for her. She wanted to go to another well known candy shop but I told her how awesome this place was so off we went. When you walk in the store it is simply adorable. Everything is arranged so nicely and the layout is just beautiful. There are plenty of options to chose from. My daughter got her teacher some candy and of course a Turtle Flavored Chocolate Pizza. Doesn't get much better than that. The saleswoman was so kind and helpful. She even wrapped the candy up for my daughter in an adorable cellophane bag and tied it with a pretty ribbon.

It's getting hot in here

Not like the song though LOL. WOW!!! I know, I was complaining the other day about all of the rain well, now it's the heat. Hey though, I did forewarn you. We took the kids today to their playdate with the other Group that we hang with sometimes (Akron Ohio Moms) and we went to Fort Island Griffith park in Fairlawn. It was such a neat place. There's a Nature/Resource center where the kids got to see a few little animals and then had a story read to them. Then they got to go outside and play on this amazing playground. This is a 55 acre park and it also has basketball courts, 4 tennis courts and really nice walking paths with habitats to look at. The mounds there are something you have to see also. They say the mounds, the small hills were formed from material left by glaciers. How cool is that? This is some place I want to go back to an explore when it's not so hot LOL

T-Ball

I have to say that little kids playing T-ball is oneof the cutest things I've ever seen. My 4 yr old had his first "game" tonight and it was absolutely amazing. Those little boys were in heaven. Running around trying to catch the ball and learning how to run the bases. I loved it. I wish it were 2-3 nights a week instead of jsut 1 but what can you do? LOL I know, it's to much for the little ones but it's so fun to watch. I highly reccommend it to anyone with little kids. My little one also plays soccer which I love watching also but now T-ball is my new passion. He looked so cute in his shirt and was totally proud of his hat. He's the man. My baby is growing up. Can't beleive he'll be 5 in August and that he starts school this year. Crazy since I also have one getting ready to graduate college, one going into 4th grade and one starting high schoool ::sigh:::. Yes, I know they're all spread out but I wouldn't have it anyother way.

Tomorrow we're going on a really cool playdate with another local playgroup (Akron Ohio Moms) and I'll give a little review of it for you locals who read my blog.

Jsut realized I haven't posted for a few days. Well as a busy mom of4, I don't always have time to park my butt at the computer. The waterpark (Kalahari) was amazing. We had a really good time. I can't wait to go back soon. The kids had a blast. I have super busy day today. Well it seems like everyday has been super busy. I can't wait until we go on vacation in a couple of weeks. Today I have to run to the store, then we have playgroup at 2 at the park, then we have T-ball at 6:30. Tomorrow he have another playgroup at this awesome place. They have a great nature Resource Center. We're joining up with another playgroup from Akron, Check out their button on my page. Akron Ohio Moms. It's brown and on the right hand side. Then on Friday another playdate at a different park. Then come Memorial Day weekend. Does any one have any special plans? I'msure we'llhave a cookout one day and visit the cemetary to plae flowers. Other than that I plan to do nothing but relax.

I'll keep, my fingers crossed but i'm sure Manbaby won't go for it since we are leave for the beach at the begining of June. Oh well, it was a nice thought. Rain, Rain Go Away!!

Is anyone else sick of rain??? I swear it always rains more in May than any other month. It does, seriously. I've said this for like the past 3 years. I'm actually tempted to look up the rainfall amount for the last 3 years because I know I am SO right!! I'm always right LOL. It's cold also. BRRRR!!!! Here in a few weeks I'll be complainging because it's to sunny and hot. Bipolar much?? Well yes, actually I am LOL. Me?? Imagine that ::::GASP::: LOL. Seriously it's no big deal. I just tend to roll with it. Somedays I have good days and others I'm the bitch from hell and can't stand myself. Usually I'm pretty easy going though so it's all good. Life is about the journey, not the destionation is what I've always said. I'm a pretty positive person and I like to see the good in everything and everyone. People do suck though so, I try to overlook stupidity when I can. Except for the people at McDonalds who forget to give me straws every single time. That is just unaccaptable and I must get out of my truck and go in and yell at them. Yes, I seriously did and I grabbed a handful of straws and walkked out the door. I'm sure my photo is now posted at fast food chains all over the place. Above them it probably says "CRAZY STRAW LADY" LOL

Well, for weeks they hadn't been giving me straws. Usually you get screwed on your food at the drive thru, not shorted straws. I have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old and they need their straws. So after being strawless 2 days in one week. The following week I asked "Do I have straws?" Rudely I was told,"yes I put them in there myself." Ok, cool. I go to pull out and yes I did have straws but ONLY 2 and I had 4 drinks. WTH??? I backed my truck up, went into McDonalds, grabbed my handful of straws, and then yelled, "I'M TAKING THESE STRAWS BECAUSE YOU (as I pointed at the worker) DIDN"T GIVE ME ENOUGH AFTER I SPECIFICALLY ASKED YOU!!!!" I know, what was I thinking?? LOL Well, it was just one of those days. That is something I have never done nor ever thought I would do. I've found out the older I get though, the less I'm able to tolerate stuff like that.

Oh well, maybe next time she'll be able to get it right when she puts straws in a bag.

It has been a busy,busy weekend. As I said the other day, I had a Garage Sale with my friend. The sale coulda done better but I has a great time hanging there with her and her family. They're great. Good friends are hard to come by and I'm truly blessed to have the few good ones that I do. I finally started my new Sookie book late last night and finished it today. I think it took me about 4 hours. I hate waiting on new books to come out. Drives me insane. Why torture me like that?? It's just so wrong LOL

Nothing exciting has really happend here. Went shopping and I spent $15 and saved $18. This was at Walgreens. That was the highlight of my day. Tomorrow if it doesnt rain we're having a playdate at the park. The theme is "friendship fruit salad." Each child will bring some fruit, we'll mix it together and then share it. It's being held at a park so I'm sure we'll do more playing than eating fruit LOL. We have 3 Playgroups this week. UGH!!!!! Don't know what I was thinking when I scheduled them. Plus 3 next week. I know, I don't have to go to all of them but their good ones LOL. Besides, my kids will only be litte once. It's all for them :) BTW, my keys stick horribly so that makes for awful type-os. I could fix them but I'm to lazy LOL

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

I just like saying that because Guy on Diners, Drive Inn's and Dives says it all the time LOL. Well, I feel like a HUGE winner today. A friend of mine and myself had a garage sale today at her house. I made NOTHING!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!! Big winner I am LOL. That's ok, there's still a chance tomorrow and if not it's no biggie because it's stuff I didn't really want anyway and it was going to the Goodwill. Still though, a little extra cash would've been awesome. I am exhausted. Still runing around like a chicken with me head cut of going here, going there. UGH!!!! For the next 2 weeks, I have 3 playdates each week. I hope it rain on at least one of them so I can cancel. I'm just toally scheduling myself for to much. UGH!!! There's just not enough hours in the day it seems like. I need some ME time. Everything I do is all family involved in some way. That's ok and I love it but I need some down time before I crack, KWIM?? LOL

Well,it's not going to be tonight because we have to be at the soccer field at 5:30 which is less than an hour away so,I'll catch you later :)

I need a break

I have seriously been so busy for weeks that I can't remember that last time that I even had a few moents of peace. I had to take Kyle to the Orthopedic specialist today and he ended up puting a cast on that goes up to his knee. It'snot a walking cast either because he doesn't want him to put any weight on it at all until he gets the cast off in 3 weeks. He gets the cast of June 4th and we're leaving for the beach on Jume 6th. I told Kyle that his NYC trip is going to end up costing me a fortune (again LOL). I bought him anew video game today for the PS3 so I havent heard much from him today. I know he's in pain but I think he'smilking it jsut a tad.Then again, so would I probably LOL. I'm ready to just take to my bed with something just to get a break. I'm getting totally overwhelmed with stuff and I have no one to blame but myself. I need to learn to say no and I also need to learn to stop scheduling so much stuff for myself. I have 3 playdates for the kids next week plus my 4 year old starts T-ball on Tuesday and has soccer on Friday. I feel as if I'm constantally running somewhere. It's a total pain since I'm usually taking the 2 yr old and 4 year old with me. I'm glad they're good though ::knocks on wood:::. My main complaint is lifting them up in my truck and then buclking and unbuckling and then doing it all over and over again.

My 9 year old informed me this morning that theres some family fun nutrion thing at her schoool tonight and she wants to go. I had to say yes but I really wanted to say NO!!!!!! I have so much to do. I'm having a yard sale with my friend Friday and Saturday and I still have so much to do to get ready for it. Then I have a dr's appt tomorrow @ 12:15 then I'm heading to Gretas sometime tomorrow to help set up for Friday morning. I seriously just want to crawl in bed and not get out.

Happy Mothers Day

Hope all the mothers out there are having a wonderful day today.Mine has been pretty good for the most part.I had a nice time visiting with my parents and the kids mademe cute cards. My oldest son called to tell me Happy Mothers Day and I got to see my son Kyle who is in NYC on his school trip outside on the Today Show this morning. That was WAY COOL!!!! He was texting me telling me whom he was by and what they were wearing LOL.

I got a call on my cell as we're on our way home from brunch. It's Kyle calling from NYC and he tells me he hurt his ankle. I'm thinking yeah Kyle ok. The school specifically said the kids HAD to go to school on Monday after the trip and if they missed they had to have a dr's excuse. So I think he's just blowing smoke up my butt until he says the nurse wants to talk to me.

Well she gets on and tells me yeah his ankle is pretty large and she had ice on it. She wanted to know if I wanted them to find a stat care for him there or wait till they get home. I was like well you're the nurse, what do yo think? She said she thought he would be ok till he got home. Yeah after an 8 hr bus trip I can only imagine what kind of shape he's going to be in. They won't get home until after 10 and stat care closes at 10. If it's just swollen I'm going to wait until tomorrow but if it's black and blue then I'll go ahead and take him to the ER.

I asked him how he did it and he said he was jumping around like a Leprechaun!!! WTH???? I don't even wanna known. I was like WTH, did you run out of money and were you performing or something??? LOL

Yesterday he was all excited because he made $100. He bought 2 watches off the street out of suitcases and then he sold them LOL This is the kid that makes a fortune of selling baggies of candy at school too. LORD give me strength LOL

Happy Friday

So, anything exciting going on? Nothing here at all. I ran around to 5 different stores looking for stuff that I needed. So glad my friend Gina was here to help me with the boys. Tomorrow my parents are coming up from WV to spend some time with us. I'm going to do a few things with my mom and dad for Mothers Day. First of all we're going to the McKinley Museum in Canton. It's pretty cool. It also has an amazing sections for the kids as well. Think it's called Discovery World. In my own personal opinion it's way better then The Childrens Museum in Cleveland. At least my my family thinks so. Then after that we're off to the Akron Zoo for a while. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain tomorrow or the zoo is out and I'll have to find some other way to entertain them. After the zoo on the way home we're going to stop at Carolines Cupcakes. I hope they're still open.Never know with them. If they sell out, they close. Here's to hoping they have a slow day tomorrow LOL Then on Sunday we're all going to brunch.

Well, my son Kyle is now in NYC for his 8th grade trip. Right now they're seeing Mama Mia on Broadway. How cool is that?? I'm so excited for him. Tomorrow they're touring Central park-Shakespeare Gardens & Belvedere Castle. Then the Museum of Natural History, Shopping on Fifth Avenue-FAO Schwarz, Apple Store, Tiffany's (WTH is that about LOL??) and the NBA Store. Then they're going to sightsee and shop in Times Square area, have dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, and then go to the Top of The Rock Observation Deck. Sunday they're going to Rockefeller Center/Today Show. I SOOOOOOO Hope I get to see him. He said he was going to hold up a sign. That's at 7:45 a.m. but you know I'll be up WAY earlier LOL. Then they're going to Lower Manhatten for a drive by tour of Ground Zero. Next it's a narrated cruise on the Hudson River and The Statue of Liberty. They'll have lunch at South Stree Seaport and then they'll head home.

For being 14 yrs old, I think it sounds like quite and adventure. Well, I'm 37 and it would be an adventure for me LOL

Busy, Busy, Busy

Wow, today is flying by and I haven't accomplished anything at all. Well 2 loads of laundry but I mean, actual stuff that I need to do. Tomorrow my son is leaving for NYC on his 8th grade trip for 3 days. I don't know about you but we didn't get to do cool stuff like that in 8th grade. His itinerary is awesome. I so should've signed up to be a chaperone. If they're still doing that when my daughter hit's 8th grade it's on!!! Sorry Mom, you get to babysit so prepare yourself now LOL.

Few things are going on this week. First of all it's National Day of Prayer. Or so I read on Facebook so there for it MUST be true. It's also teacher appreciation week so I want to thank all of my childrens teachers for the wonder job they've been doing and to just thank all of the teacher in general. It take someone special to be a teacher.

Last but not least, this one is my FAVORITE, It's the 2nd Annual National Moms Night Out!!! WOOO HOOO!!!! See why I saved the best for last?? So awesome LOL THis is a real event, I swear I didn't make it up. I even have a badge for it on the left hand side of my page. Check it out. So I serioulsy need to get busy and clean, finish laundry, go to the bank, pack my sons stuff up and cook dinner before I go out to celebrate LOL. Nothing major, just a mexican restaurant with a few friends. Margaritas are buy one get one free so that's a plus. LOL

UPS Man

It all started around Christmas time when I was ordering packages like crazy off of the internet. Well, my UPS man would always run through my side yard and leave the packages on the back porch. This went on a couple of times a week for almost 2 months. My 4 yr old would hear him pull up and then run to the window and start screaming, "why is that man running thourough our yard? He jsut runs through our yard, knock on the door and leaves!" Freaked him out for the longest time LOL Well, he still comes about once every two weeks and now he's cool with it because he know that there's usually something cool in the boxes he leaves on the porch. So today I'm sitting here and Carter yells, "I can run faster than him." He runs to the back door, opens it and is standing there waiting on him LOL. He was all excited when he handed me the package. Well, once I opened it, he wasn't thrilled at all. It was my new Charlaine Harris Book. YAY YAY YAY!!!! For those of you whom have never read her work, you should. They're based on the HBO True Blood Series. The books of course are way better in my opinion but isn'tthat how it usually is?? I love Sookie Stackhouse and I can't wait to start reading. What's even better is I got an awesome deal on it. Got the hardback for $9.99. So worth it!!!

So, anything exciting?? Any special plans? I wanted to sit around all day and drink Sangria but it didn't work out that way. The kids had a playdate at the park. It was nice, lots of peple showed up and we had tons of food. OUr theme was "It's Party Time Amigos". After everyone ate we waddled over to the playground and let the kids run off some of their sugar rush. I SOOOOOO Need a nap. Won'tbe getting on though. Tht's ok, I never do. I'm used to it LOL. Cocoa Mulch FYI

This product is HIGHLY TOXIC to dogs and cats.

Cocoa Mulch is manufactured by Hershey's, and they claim that "It is true
that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch can
suffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual
dog). However, 98% of all dogs won't eat it."

Snopes.com site gives the following information:

Cocoa Mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other
garden supply stores contains a lethal ingredient called 'Theobromine'. It
is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts

in the last 2-3 weeks.

Theobromine is in all chocolate, especially dark or baker's chocolate which
is toxic to dogs. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of
theobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and
theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made
from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later.
Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed

First of all, I have to talk coupons and savings. It would jsut be wrong of me if I didn't LOL. This site that I'm affiliated with is having an AMAZING sale of coupons on Ebay. So, has everyone had a good weekend so far?? I went with my family this morning to a playdate with some other families from the playgroup that I organize. It was so much fun. We went to The Akron Fossils and Science center and Turrassic Park in Copley. If you haven't been there then I reccommend you go. The kids had a blast playing. The tour was a little bit much for the smaller ones but the bigger kids loved it. The got to touch fossils and learn about all sorts of neat things. You can check out their website for more info. I had found out about it one day when I happend across a review for it that another mommie blogger had wrote. It sounded so great I decided it would be a nice time to take the kids to. Hmmmm

Well, I believe when I posted this morning I had a list of goals to accomplish. Did I get anything done?? Sure didn't. Things were going good, I had a plan and then my 2 year old decided to poop in the tub. Things just kind of went down hill from there. Kinda ruins your motivation to do a whole lot of anything LOL. It's 3:30 and I'm still in my PJ's. Or and my friend Donnas son Lance calls them "jamammas" LOL BTW HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!!!! LOVE YOU!!!! Seriously, you know you're my secret lover LOL. I did manage to get the living room and dining room cleaned up. I set the timer and told my 4 yr old we were going to play a game and beat the clock. He immediately collapsed on the couch and said he was weak and need to rest. Weak?? YOU'RE 4!!! Don't start pulling that on me already son!!

So he finally got up and started dashing around like a mad man. He was such a good little helper. Now we, (I always like to say WE even though I'm sitting here typing away ) are looking for the wet wipe box. It's either that or the sippies that are always MIA. Drives me insane. It's like there's gremlins or something taking my stuff and hiding it. I despise searching for those things because it's several times a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY. For those of you who know me personally, see, this is just one of the small things that have me on the edge of insanity LOL

Oh gee, the husband will be home soon. Guess I should probably make myself presentable. Yeah ok, that's funny. He's used to seeing me in my PJ's with my hair up on top of my head with a dust mop. If I was any other way he would probably think he walked in the wrong house.

I did find a few more good sites today and I added them. So check them out as well as the google adds (HINT HINT) LOL. Happy Hump Day, Yeah Ok, Whatever LOL

I have been so busy this morning. Doing what you ask, sitting here looking at blogs LOL. My goal today was to do the laundry, tag some yard sale stuff and to go get a few things from the store. It's only 10:15 so I guess I still have time. We shall see though LOL. Last night my other friend we shall call him "Man Whore Mike" (MUAH LOL ) sent me an Amazon gift card. I was SO EXCITED!!! 2 gift cards in one day. First was from Chris for the kick ass cupcakes and then one from Mike so I could buy books. I was on line when I got the email from Amazon so I went straight there and got two books. WOO HOO!!! One of them was on couponing. LOL HUSH!!!!! The other one was the 5th book in this series I started reading last winter. I hate it when you get sucked into books and then they make you wait a year for the next one. LOSERS!!!! This one is from the Vampire Academy Series. LOVE IT!!!! I also ordered my next Tru Blood book the other night but it wont be here till sometime in May. I'm so impatient, I hate to wait on anything LOL

Time is flying today

Today is just going to fast for me so far. I'm exhausted for one thing. My 4 year old decided to sleep with us last bight. That normally would've been no problem but the 2 year old was in there as well. Then my 4 yearold decides he wantes to sleep at the end of the bed and I should come with him so we can snuggle. I should get the mother of the year award, seriously LOL. Needless to say I got very little sleep and that won't be happening again anytime soon.

For the past hour I've been trying to find a new dentist to take the kids to. The one I dearly love changed location and I jsut don't have the extra time anymore to drive out there. He wasn't even in my network but that's how awesome he was. So after hours of searching I finally find one about 10 minutes away, they're in my network and they're accepting new patients. They'll call me back though, Yeah, I'm going to sit here and wait around all day @@.

On a good note, I got a gift certificatein the mail from my friend Chris for Carolines Cupcakes. OMG these are teh BEST cupcakes in the world. Well, I think so at least LOL. If you haven't had one yet or even heard about them then go to their website and check out their flavors. AMAZING!!
I'm also excited today because I got new coupons in the mail. WOO HOO!!! I have such an exciting life I can hardly contain myself. I'm easily amused and easily entertained LOL.

Rain, Rain Go Away!!!

What is up with this Ohio weather??? TOTALLY despise it. It'll be 80 one day and 30 the next. Totally ridiculous. The kids were supposed to have a playgroup this morning- A Stroller Stroll & Tyke Hike but of course it got rained out. That's ok, it's supposed to start in 20 minutes and the 4 yr old is STILL asleep. Besides, it'll give me time to work with my new lover my coupon binder and get the house straightened up. I despise Mondays. Everyone is home on the weekends and they just toss stuff everywhere and I think they've forgotten how to pick stuff up and carry dishes to the kitchen. I love my family to death but come on, a little help please. I told my husband last night that if he didn't get his butt in gear then I was going to pack my stuff and go down the road and stay at the Hampton Inn. I will too and he knows it. I'm not playing around. Ok, that's my daily vent for now so lets get onto more fun things such as COUPONS!!!!!!

A little about couponing

As I told you all recently, it has became my obsession. I'm into week 3 almost and I'm just now starting to get really organized. Getting organized is the key especially if you're like me and you use the binder to keep your coupons in. The coupons are kept inside of baseball card holders. These can be found by the baseball/pokemon cards and such. I don't suggest you use one of those tiny little accordian like coupon holders. I mean seriously, those are to small and hard to find anything in. Personally I think the big binder with the labeled tabs is the way to go. I use the zip up Caseit brand. It has a nice strap and a handle. I know you're thinking OMG she's insane. Well that's besides the point LOL. I'm tellin you that I LOVE this binder. I got it at Target for under $20. You can also purchase them at Office Max. Plenty of room for your scissors, calculator, extra adds, all sorts of stuff.

Like I said, you use baseball card inserts to hold your coupons and you divide your binder into sections to help you locate your coupons. For example I have meat, dairy, snacks, cleaning supplies, health and beauty, cereal. You get the idea.

Most people get their coupons from the sunday paper. Yes, that's a good place to start but actually, I learned at a recent class that you shouldn't use your coupons as soons as they come out. Most items cycle and chances are if you hold onto your coupon you can get a better deal later.

Yes, I clip away on Sundays and do my price comparing but I also buy coupons from a site know as a Coupon Clipper. The one I use is www.couponsthingsbydede.com I LOVE THIS SITE!!!! So far I have ordered 3 times, spent next to nothing and have gotten my coupons in 3 days. Jsut TRY the binder method and I swear you will love it.

I do suggest though that you have a plan going into the store. Make a list, stick with it and know what coupons you have to go with your list. It's also easiest for me if I go to the store of an early morning or after 8 at night. There's less traffic in the isles and if I need to I can stand there and browse through my coupons to see if there's anything else I may need. Also you can totally score if you have a store that doubles coupons. I go to Giant Eagle. They double up to 99 cents. So say if I have a coupon for 99 cents off of an item, they double it and I now get $1.98 off of that product. Isn't that cool??

Good Morning

Here is how coupon obsessed I am. I got up this morning at the crack of dawn, ran down the stairs, and out the front door to get my newspapaper. I mean after all, the sunday paper rocks!!! It's where all the good coupons are. I was waiting on Walgreens new add. I LOVE shopping at Walgreens. I never thought I would enjoy a drugstore this much and honestly until recently I never went there unless it was to pick up my prescriptions. Well, I attended a coupon class a few weeks ago and I learned SO MUCH!!!! So, I suggest you give Walgreens a try. You can use their coupons, along with Manufacturers Coupons to get an even better deal. Sometimes you even get stuff from free. Last week in their flyer they had a coupon for $3 off Bayer. Well, the Bayer only cost $2.99 so I got it for free. How awesome is that??? I don't even use Bayer but it was free so why not?? LOL

Just yesterday I had a coupon for a Johnson & Johnson product. It was save $1 off of any baby product. Well, I bought those little soaps with the mesh coverings so they don't slip out of the kids hands. They were only .97 so I got them for free also. I am learning so much about couponing. I love to talk about it and share what I know also. It's like I'm obsessed LOL. So if you ever have any questions, just ask me, please LOL. Happy Anniversary to Me LOL

Nothing exciting going on here. Just another Saturday. I've been scouring the internet so far this morning looking for good deals to share and I think I've found a few. Also just wanted to give you all a little reminder to please click on the adds for me. That's what helps keep my site up and running so PLEASE Click, Click, Click on them. I would really appreciate it. Also I've been adding those little square buttons, badges, whatever you want to call them. Those are some of my favorite sites so feel free to check then out as well. Last night C and I went to the Store around 10 and we took my big binder full of coupons. I'm telling you this thing is HUGE. We totally scored and I LOVE getting good deals. I'm learning to love being frugal. I just to get such a high on just going shopping. Now it's even better when I can look at my receipt and see how much money I have saved. It's great!!! I used to spend $150/week just on food. Now I'm spending close to $60 and that's including H&B items, cleaning supplies, cat food, and food for the family. AWESOME I'm telling you!! If anyone is interested in any tips or anything, just keep checking back because I'll be posting more stuff soon. Like I said, this is a work in progress. With 4 kids and a husband I call "manbaby" (ty Olenka for the term LOL) I have to delegate my time.

Another Day

Well, while I've been sitting here at the computer looking for deals and stuff to do for the 2 groups that I organize, my 2 year old who is 3 feet away decided he would dump out his toy box. Good Times!!!!! I'm still trying to get the hang of blogging. Organizing events for croups on a calendar seems so much easier LOL.

Eventually once I'm up and running, I want this Blog to be a place where I can share tips and ideas with others. I want to share tips on everything. So, please hang in there and be patient with me. Eventually, I'll get this LOL

The Beginning

All about me:

I'm Cara, I live in NE Ohio and I'm a SAHM to 4 kids ranging in ages from 14-2. I also have a 21 year old son and a fabulous husband. I wanted to start this blog because I want to try and help others learn things that I've recenlty been learning plus I just need a place to vent and ramble on sometimes.

I run a Childrens Playgroup, and I also just started up a Frugal Living Group. The playgroup is full of awesome parents and kids. The Frugal Living Group is off to a good start as well. Right now my main thing is Freebies, Product Reviews, and my new passion is Couponing. I love doing coupons and I love to save money. I even have a HUGE Binder with 2 sets of 3 rings and tons of pockets. It is awesome for helping be be thrifty.
